Gather ’round the ol’ campfire with me while we talk about one of the most majestic things the world has to offer. The breakfast burrito. They can come in many shapes and sizes. My personal favorite involves eggs, potatoes, cheese, and (in a perfect world) chorizo. Toss in some onions and bell pepper. Mmmm. But let’s be real. You’re never going to get a diet frozen meal chorizo breakfast burrito. However what you DO get is this meal from my coworker Marissa!
Oh Smart Ones. With your jerk ass fake garnish. Still, these little wraps look pretty awesome. I’m hoping the tortilla is nice and soft…But not hopeful. However they look stuffed with goodness and I’m on board. This box has TWO servings (and we know how that normally goes). Let’s check it out!
Well that’s…Different. They’re explosive! Like Cheetos. And explosion of flavor! That’s a bummer. And the tortilla looks kinda’ stiff. What did Marissa think?
I should have known that when the box said “vegetables” they meant peppers, because that’s the prevailing flavor in the bites that don’t have meat (and there are those bites). I had to heat them about 10 seconds longer than it said because I ate the first one and got a cold bite The ends without filling ended up crispy and hard, and the ends with filling exploded. This is one of those 2-servings-in-One-Box meals so beware. The other wraps they have like this are ok with me because they work well as a snack, but I really don’t want a breakfast “snack”. I want a breakfast MEAL. So disappointed.
